Answers to Your Questions

Web Design/Development

How long does it take to have a website designed?
The length of time needed to create your website all depends on the scope of the project. A site that has a large product catalog will take considerably longer than a site that exclusively deals with selling a service. When you submit a quote request to us, we will research your requirements and give you an approximate timeframe for completion.

How much does it cost to create a website?
Because each company's needs are different, there is no "one-size-fits-all" price for a website. However, we pride ourselves on making websites affordable to everyone -- from the start-up business to the corporate firm. We welcome you to click here for a free, no obligation quote on your website design.

We guarantee a prompt, personal response within a few hours. We aim to please, so don't be surprised if our quote also includes the "hidden extras" that other web design firms don't tell you about, such as web hosting, domain registration, promotion and so on.

What are the steps involved in the web design process?
The first step involves the creation of a template - a basic layout and image of your site which will constitute the majority of your pages. In many cases, we actually design two or three templates based on your preliminary description.

Once you've decided on the look you want for your site, we then begin to add the content and/or programming features you've requested. After your approval of the work, we subsequently test the site and follow each section of it as if we were a potential customer. This allows us to gain a firsthand knowledge of how the site will operate when completed. Once the testing portion is complete, your site is uploaded to the web host of your choice, and is then submitted to relevant search engines and directories.

However, our work doesn't stop there. We also give you several tips related to your particular industry, on how to maximize your web presence and use your new site to bring in more customers.

Why should I hire a company to design my website when I can do it myself?
In this day and age, there are literally hundreds of do-it-yourself web page authoring programs. It is very conceivable that you can create a website on your own. However, we have been involved in the field of web development for over five years, and many of our sites have won awards and praise based on their innovative design and programming.

We are continuously informed of the latest development trends to properly build and market your site to potential customers. Plus, with our one-on-one customer assistance, you can be assured that your site is being developed by qualified internet professionals - and that is something that no web building program can promise.

What's the difference between hiring a freelancer and hiring a company to design my website?
Hiring a freelancer puts the entire process of your website's design, including conceptualization, research, development, publishing and marketing, into the hands of one individual who may not understand nor genuinely care about your business' online success.

On the other hand, hiring a reputable design firm, such as iElectrify, ensures that your site will be completed by a dedicated team of individuals who specialize in their particular field -- be it promotion or publishing.

Programming Services

I want to have a database of all the products I sell, so that users can browse and purchase them through an online shopping cart. Can you create a site like this?
Absolutely. We have considerable experience developing online product catalogs. Your users can either order directly from your catalog, or if you offer a service, they can select the service(s) they are interested in and submit an online form directly to your e-mail address so that you will always be informed of orders or new leads.

I want to be able to add, edit or delete products on my site without having to change each page manually. Can you help me?
Of course. Our programmers are proficient in a number of programming languages, and can build a secure administrative area wherein you will be able to modify or add new products to your online catalog, without having to have any website design or programming experience. Our custom-built administrative areas are flexible enough to add new features, while still being very user-friendly and easy to use.

Do you offer programming services that let me make changes to the text or images on my entire website?
We make maintenance easy! We can build a custom Content Management system that is tailored specifically to your needs. You'll easily be able to change text, images or other portions of the site, without having to know any programming languages. All you need to make changes to your site are basic word processing skills. If you can write a letter, you can edit your website!

Promotion and Marketing

I have a software program that lets me submit my website to 10,000 search engines. Why should I use your promotion and marketing services?
There are major underlying problems with using software that "blasts" your website out to several thousand search engines. Here are just a few of the risks you take when using such a program:

  1. Search engines have now caught on to software submission programs, and in many cases will readily ban the website from their indexes (for not taking time to read the submission rules and terms and just submitting blindly to the index). This means that your website may never be listed within that engine.

  2. There is no benefit whatsoever to listing your site with more than the most frequently used search engines. Generally speaking, about 3 search engines on the Internet are responsible for delivering traffic to your website. You will rarely see any from the subsequent nine hundred others that the software submits to.

  3. Each search engine and directory has their own listing rules. If you don't abide by those terms, they'll refuse to list your site, and they may even ban it from ever being listed. Since the listing rules change almost daily, it is impossible for any software program to know how to properly submit your site.
At iElectrify, full, proper search engine submission is done manually, to only the most frequently used search engines and directories. Optionally, we can also submit your site to regional indexes or industry-specific directories, where visitors looking to buy your product or service may also be searching. This way, you can feel completely confident that your site is being marketed correctly, which results in faster and fuller indexing by the search engines.

I need more visitors to come to my website. How can you help me?
We offer our clients more than just basic promotion and marketing to the search engines. A listing in a well-known search engine can only do so much to bring visitors in. After your site is complete, we'll give you even more tips on how you can boost your sales and drive more customers to your website.

I've seen promotion websites that promise me Top 10 Search Engine rankings. Can you guarantee a Top 10 Search Engine ranking for my site?
No -- No company or software can guarantee a Top 10 Search Engine Ranking for your most valuable keywords. Websites that advertise such promising offers will generally do what they say - except the Top 10 ranking you receive will be under some obscure term that most visitors wouldn't search your site with (thus resulting in a top ranking for that term!). It is virtually impossible to achieve a Top 10 search engine ranking for vague "umbrella" terms (like "books", "software", "free" and so on).

Instead, you'll need more specific terms - which are guaranteed to bring you more customers -- Customers that are genuinely interested in what you have to offer (such as "mystery books", "e-mail software", and "free car tune-ups").

I already have a website and content written for it. I just need someone to promote it to the search engines. Do you offer this service exclusively?
No, we do not. The reason for this is that our approach to website design involves three steps, all of which need to be completed together for the site to receive the maximum benefit from its search engine listing. These three steps involve
  1. Customized design that welcomes visitors to learn more about what you offer. So, for example, if you sell barbecue grills, your site would be designed with bold, rich colors and images that evoke pleasant thoughts of grilling, such as summer outings, time with family, and delicious foods cooked over an open fire.

  2. Compelling content that converts clicks into customers. Your grilling site may offer the same brand of grill as a competitor, but we will write about it in such a way that prospective customers will literally beat a path to your door wanting to order your grill over that of your competitor.

  3. Promotional techniques that are proven to earn you more loyal customers, and as a result, increase the number of sales you receive. Even if your product is seasonal or geared toward a specific audience, we can help you market it in areas where you may never have expected it to flourish.

Payment Terms/Pricing

What are your payment terms? How does the payment process work?
Payment is required upon the completion of each stage of your website. Here's how it works:

  1. First, get a free, no obligation web design quote and provide the details on your project. We will reply with a short proposal which will outline the work we will perform, and a more precise estimate and timeframe for completion. You are welcome to use this proposal to compare our quote to that of other web designers whose services you may be considering.

You will find that our rates are comparable (if not more affordable!) than those of the competition.

  2. From there, you may elect to commission our services and have us begin work on your website. If so, the first third of your total quote is due. This allows us to secure the necessary items (for example, stock photography licenses) to begin the design and layout of your site.

  3. Once the design and layout is complete (many times, we will create two or three layouts based on your ideas and suggestions), simply make the second downpayment from the quote you have received. We will then begin adding content and programming features (if any) that you have requested.

  4. Once the programming is complete and the content has been written, we will send you a screenshot of the final design as well as a document outlining the content we have written. By this time, we will have fully tested your website and ensured that it works correctly. The final downpayment is then required before we will upload your site to its designated web host.

  5. Upon receipt of your final payment, your site and all accompanying images, programming and content will be uploaded to your chosen web host. If you have already registered a domain name, it will now point to your new website.

  6. Finally, we will begin promoting your sites to search engines and relevant directories. We will also correspond with you on tips you can use to further promote your site beyond the scope of search engine promotion
